I consider myself pretty fortunate as I am pretty much guaranteed an invitation to attend the Skills USA National Championship each year. Granted it is as a volunteer, but I got to say it is worth it. For most students though, it takes a lot of work and determination to get what maybe that once in a lifetime opportunity. You see before they can compete in Kansas City, they have
to make it through the State Championships where only the 1st place winner gets the chance.
Welcome to Skills Alabama 2013 – with over 65 different competitions taking place over a 2 day period.
Most of the competitions were held here on site, with the notable exceptions for those that required large specialty equipment (welding, auto body, diesel & auto engine repair).
